Loneliness

Loneliness is a dark rain cloud
That follows above you
That sounds like the foot steps
Of everyone walking away from you
With depressing smell of
dying flowers
And makes you fell like a falling
Glass that no one cares to catch

I wrote this poem in 8th grade for an English project. The assignment was to writing a sence poem, choose a feeling and tell what you think it would look, smell, feel, ect like. I obviously chose loneliness. This is because 8th grade was a time where I felt lonely a lot. I chose to include this poem in my book because I feel like it connects well with my life.

Wow. That one kind of hit me over the head. Maybe it's just because it's me, but I think that poem is awesome. I don't know if I would describe it as the 'best', but it's definately the one that I like the most out of these so far.

I'll be hard pressed to pick favorite lines in this one, because it is very short, and I like them all, but I'll give it a shot.

"That sounds like the foot steps
Of everyone walking away from you"

I'm guessing that the reason that I like this line (and this poem) so much is that it's kind of close to my own life. This line basically embodies the essence of the poem.

Really, I think you probably struck a very common note with this one. I'm guessing that very many people can relate to this.

Wonderful job.

Thank you again Patrick. Honestly I've always loved this poem, though I think I've written better. I'm not so sure what it is besides the fact that it's another one of the few poems I written where nothing is exagerated. I'm flattered that you like it so much, I was somewhat expecting an *ehh, so so* from you.

So far I think in everyone of my poems you have picked the same favorite line as me. This one though I think I kinda like the first line:

"Loneliness is a dark rain cloud
That follows above you"

Most the time my favorite line is either the first or last.
